9. Lure him to you with your sirens song if he is one blur dude


10. Play hard to get after he is seduced

Alright chill... I didnt mean to ridicule fairy tales but there are certain similarities in these stories. A friend once told me that reading fairy tales makes a person kinder, less schematic and less realistic. I agree with it.

These stories focuses on the girls generosity and they are rewarded by living happily ever after with a prince. Even though we know that in this realistic world kind people may not have good ending, bad people may also not have bad ending. Everyone dwells on the grey zone only depending if you are in the darker shade or lighter shade of grey.

But still, one also has the right to dream and have should have a time to day dream after a tiring day facing REALITY.




My childhood favourite princess stories. New princesses are admitted into the disney's princess but well... i erm refused to accept them coz this 6 have always been a princess in my heart since i am small.

Cinderella (1950)

Cinderella then reveals she has the other glass slipper. Delighted at this indisputable proof of the maiden's identity, the Duke slides the slipperon her foot which fits perfectly


Endures with her overbearing stepmom Lady Tremaine and sis-s, Drizella and Anastasia

Saved a mouse Octavius aka Gus and befriends the mouse pack leader Jaq, Bruno the dog and Mighty the horse

Beautiful pumpkin carridge and pretty gown that vanishes by 12 midnight. I wonder if the pumpkin can still be eaten after that...

Meets her prince charming who is tall and handsome whose father is round and short. Princes some how gets the best genes while the kings get the worst ones huh?





I used to ask my mom why their dresses have cushion paddings on their waist. And till now i still dunno why..






Beauty and the Beast (1991)
Eventually, the wounded Beast dies and Belle, who is now heartbroken, whispers in tears that she loves him, just before the last petal falls from the rose.

Kawaii! Imagine teacups squirming when you drink them. Lumiere the candle, Cogsworth the clock, Mrs Potts the teapot and Chip, her son the teacup





She tamed the beast and made him learn to love. Frankly i think she is quite cool coz she is able to see past the ugliness and into the inner beauty which i can say even i cant do it... Absolutely admirable! (Claps!)





Beast gave her a library FLOODING (stacked properly of course) with books. Well dont laugh coz its romantic for a bookworm yer know....




Yellow is for cheerfulness. I guess the cartoon artist meant to protray Belle as a more outgoing girl ready for adventures rather than a sweet pretty little thing..







Snow White (1937)
Snow White takes a bite out of the apple and falls to the floor, seemingly dead. A storm starts up outside as the ugly old hag cackles, "Now I'll be fairest in the land!"




Seriously, she has a super high pitched voice... Even a bird cant reach that pitch..

Shadow Part 4

Everyone giggled softly and surprisingly, this made us less tensed up and our will power to get out of here safely became stronger even though we had no idea what we can do.


We stayed in the room for less than 10 minutes when we heard a crash from the kitchen. It sounded as if someone had thrown a large metal wok through the kitchen windows. It startled all of us. We opened the room door and peeped into the kitchen stealthily.


However, before we could even figure out what was going on, unknown squeaking bat-like object slammed into our faces causing us to fall back.


‘Yowch!’ I screamed as I felt a sharp cut on my left cheek.


‘Shucks! What the hell is that?!’ Guo Lun screamed, thrashing his arms over his head wildly. Our room was filled with the bat-like creatures and more are swarming into the room like locusts wiping out the crops field.


I was attacked by several bats and their high pitched ultrasonic screams are jarring on my ears. In the commotion, I tripped on someone’s leg and fell on something hard. It was a round metal tray!


I grabbed the tray and whacked hard at the bats.


Klonk! Klonk! Klong! I was stunned for a second. These bats are metallic!


Another bat lunged at me and cut my left cheek again. The cut was only half a centimeter below my previous one and suddenly, I felt fire blazing in my stomach.


‘YOU ARSE HOLE!’ I bellowed. My grip on the metal tray tightened. I was filled with adrenaline and strength. I gave the bat who had cut me the most violent whack I mustered and it zoomed out of the room at rocket speed, crashed into the wall and landed on the sofa at the living room.


‘SO YOU FREAKOS WANT THIS HUH? YAHHHHHH!’ I shouted at the top of my lungs and started whacking like a maniac over my friend’s heads while my bewildered friends are curled up like a thread balls on the floor.


Bats still filled my sight. But my strength is failing and my arms are aching.


Oddly, the bats didn’t seem to be attacking me or my friends anymore. They were circling the mirror like natives dancing around the fire.


After a couple of minutes, the dancing bats started to fade and disappear into the thin air. Even those I have knocked out disappeared.


Still in a state of shock, the mirror started to tremble and soon, it became a violent vibration. It trembled so strongly that the dressing table fell sideways onto to the floor. It was smashed and the pieces flew all around as we covered our faces with our hands reflectively.


‘Its time for the final showdown.’ An echo spoke calmly.

Shadow Part 3

‘Maybe he didn’t believe it like you do?’ Weiwen suggested.


‘Anyway, our first priority is to get everyone out safely. We shall wait for evening then.’ I spoke and looked at my watch which is ticking away happily. 3.15pm. It is still too early to leave.


Rena is sitting cross legged right in front of me as her faint sitting shadow projected on the wall behind her. Tired from all that has happened, I lowered myself down to the floor to join her. It was then that I looked into the eyes of my reflection in the mirror for just a millisecond before my butt touched the floor.


All of a sudden, a monstrous shadow appeared on the wall in front of the mirror. It is slightly crouched and its legs are as thick as tree trunks. It also looked rough and bumpy all around with long crooked fingers reaching down to Rena’s shadow.


The girls screamed and Rena gets startled. ‘Wh-what happened?!’ as she looked around.


‘Oh my god! ’ she gasped and backed off the wall when she looked up at the towering shadow beside her. Rena’s shadow was no longer behind her, it had stood up and is dueling the monstrous shadow.


We stared wide eyed at the wall as there is nothing we can do except to watch the fight. The huge shadow swung its fist at Rena’s shadow and she fell to the floor with one hand clutching onto her head. As it was about to launch another attack, a stray shadow with a ponytail who looked strangely familiar sprinted towards the monster, hopped onto it and shove it away from Rena’s shadow.


I whipped around to face the wall behind me and I saw nothing but the blank white wall. ‘Its.. Its.. Its ME!’ I exclaimed.


Like a wayang performance which uses puppets supported by strings dancing behind a screen, we watched Rena and I battle against the monster except that there are no strings attached to the shadows. It was only a couple of seconds when another shadow came running around the room’s wall towards the battle scene.


‘Dan! Its you!’ Korin spoke shrilly.

‘Yeah it does look like me though.’ He replied monotonously with a dazed look.


There is a fierce shadow battle and soon, Dan’s shadow was pinned down by the monster. Rena is trying to push it away with futile effort because the monster was not budging. All of a sudden, the monster vanished. Rena fell to the side and Dan’s shadow stood up. My shadow stirred and is crawling up weakly because it is still recovering from the monster’s previous attack. Everyone in the room was looking at it intently and our breathings are shallow.


Dan’s shadow pull his arm back and slammed it onto Rena.


'NOOO! What the hell are you doing?!' Dan bellowed to his shadow.


Hwee Tong stood up. He folded him arms and said ‘We ought to help! The monster must have possessed Dan’s shadow!’


Right after he finished what he said, all 15 of our classmates turned to their shadow and instructed them to aid us in the battle. Soon, 15 shadows sprang up from their original position and are on the wall battling against Dan. Knowing that he is outnumbered, he gave Guo Lun’s shadow who was nearest to him a mightly push and while the other shadows are supporting him up, the monster emerged from Dan’s shadow and hopped back into the mirror on top of the cabinet leaving Dan crumpled on the floor.


‘Good gracious we have won!’ Guo Lun shouted with his fist punched into the air and half his body tilting upwards. We rejoiced and hugged each other for comfort while the shadows went back to its respective owners and mimicked their positions. Guo Lun had not lowered his fist and it is comical to see his shadow having difficulty adjusting itself to that abnormal position.
